I was so honored last month, when Gia's mother asked me to photograph their private catholic baptism at the St. Therese of Carmel church last month. It was a lovely service with only family and close friends - and extremely moving. I wish Gia all the luck in the upcoming years. She's truly a little angel! We even managed to have time for a little mini session - Gia changed her outfit for her baptism party of course!

Dead Bird Records invited me to photograph Brian Lopez at the Belly Up Tavern last weekend. His music could be classified as Tex-Mex folk-rock (sounds tasty, right?); the melodies, Latin beats, and sighing cello are reminiscent of Tucson collective Calexico. Check out a few of the images below and don't forget to check out his music as well at http://www.brianlopezmusic.com
NATASPSW (National Academy of Television Arts and Science - Pacific Southwest) board members asked me to photograph this awesome event this year! The purpose of the Emmy Awards is to recognize achievements in television in the Pacific Southwest region that includes San Diego, Bakersfield, Palm Springs, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Santa Maria, California, and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Rock Out for Hunger supports the work of the Hand Up Youth Food Pantry at “Jewish Family Services”. In 2009 Hand Up distributed more than 60 tons of food to over 7000 people facing hunger at 12 locations across San Diego County. Holy Mackerel is right!
The pantry prides itself on giving a “hand up” and not just a hand out by providing management services to anyone in need. All the proceeds benefited the Hand Up Youth Pantry, feeding more children, adults, and frail elderly than ever before. |
