There's been a lot of hype around the Global Winter Wonderland happening here in San Diego. We were invited to the opening Media night a few weeks ago to capture the ribbon cutting ceremony, festive laterns and carnival which was only open to a select few media members of the community. If you're looking for something new and exciting to do with the family be sure to check this event out; which will be here until January 7th!

Documentary of the San Diego Women's March. Slideshow:Click below to view more photographs:I absolutely adore my vendors and Aall in Limo is no exception. I was happy to photograph a winery tour for them a few weekends ago where a close group of friends enjoyed a Sunday afternoon in Temecula. Our drive and leave of service he provided was top notch. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a private driver to large group day tour. Visit there site here and be sure to tell them you found them on my blog! http://www.aallinlimo.com How suitable is it for me to be blogging right before the Thanksgiving Holiday about the SSP America - Food Travel Experts event that I recently photographed in San Diego? It was a 2 day event that we covered and I must say, not only the food but the entire event details were top notch. Thanks to SWAY Events from Scottsdale Arizona, The Prado and the Hard Rock Hotel for making this event over the top.

Balboa Park is always a gorgeous location to photograph at and this recent graduation was no different. Students and families started to fill the Spreckels Organ Pavillon area where the ceremony took place early in the morning and you could feel a different energy amongst the students this year. The event had several great speakers, laughs and traditional cap throwing. I couldn't be more honored that Coleman University has asked me to photograph 4 consecutive graduation events for them. Special shout out to my second shooter Marisa Garcia for capturing some great moments. Congrats to all the 2015 Graduates of Coleman University.
The BLG, based out of Vancouver, BC, were recently in San Diego for a convention. They chose the lovely Palomar Hotel in Downtown San Diego to host their event. The evening, like most corporate events, had great food and plenty of great networking. Hotel Palomar did an excellent job as always creating that perfect ambiance by the poolside lounge.
It was so great to be in Balboa Park photographing such an awesome event. After having worked with the Marketing department at Coleman University on some commercial photography work, they invited me to be their main photographer for their graduation this past fall. I look forward to photographing more graduations for the University in the future. Thanks to Stephen my second shooter that day! And a BIG - Congrats to all the 2014 Grads!
At the beginning of the summer, I had the pleasure of photographing at Mister Brown's again. Lee, the owner of Mister Brown's, invited me over to capture the evening as it unfolded. If you recall, I had blogged about Mister Brown's soft opening several months prior. Things are in full swing at the shop now, so if you're in the area - be sure to swing by and check the space out.
It's no secret, I love being around self-empowered entrepreneurs, but when it's a group of females - it makes it all the sweeter. Speaking of sweet, I can begin to say how lovely Kim, owner of The Rockefeller Center is. Even though the temperatures peaked last Thursday during the soft opening, she managed to keep her cool and attend to every guest needs. Be sure to find them online at: http://therockefellercenter.com. Below you'll find a video piece (first of it's kind for me) put together with a mixture of stills and video clips from the evening. enjoy! Below are a few of the highlighted images.

The annual Creek to Bay clean up event was another big hit this year. A number of volunteers and a few local officials showed up to show their support for keeping San Diego a clean place to live. From painting over graffiti, picking up trash along the riverbeds, and removing debris from storm drains - these volunteers were ready to get their hands dirty. Even Kimberly King, CBS 8 Weather Anchor, jumped in to help out at the event
More than 50,000 San Diegans particpated in March 2012 event! It was a crazy fun filled day with tons of FREE hands-on science activities for kids (even the grown up kids). This year Council Member Sherri Lightner presented the Science & Engineering Festival Proclamation.
Sunday Funday included a day at the UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas Hazard Center for the 19th Annual Latino Film Festival. It was a family event with lots of children and a special appearance from Dora the Explorer. The little ones were so excited. San Diego Chinese Center celebrated it's 30th Anniversary this past weekend. They're best known for their Annual Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Fair. I love attending these types of cultural events. The entertainment was simply amazing.
Here's a few photos I captured:

Rock Out for Hunger supports the work of the Hand Up Youth Food Pantry at “Jewish Family Services”. In 2009 Hand Up distributed more than 60 tons of food to over 7000 people facing hunger at 12 locations across San Diego County. Holy Mackerel is right!
The pantry prides itself on giving a “hand up” and not just a hand out by providing management services to anyone in need. All the proceeds benefited the Hand Up Youth Pantry, feeding more children, adults, and frail elderly than ever before. |
