A little over 10 years ago, I drove to Mexico to photograph these two getting married. Nina's son at the time stood beside them at the altar in front of their closest friends and family. It was an incredible celebration. Fast forward to earlier this month. They traveled all the way from Abu Dhabi, where they currently live with their 3 kids, to visit with family in San Diego. I was overjoyed when Nina contacted me for some family photographs.
We're headed into fall, yet the wedding season is picking up for us! Tasha & Mike's fabulous wedding is over on the wedding blog. Be sure to check the wedding site often this fall, as there will be many updates coming that way!
Noreen & Brian received a lot of attention over on the wedding blog with their La Jolla engagement session. We stubbled across this wall mural at the very end of our session. Be sure to visit the wedding blog to see more.
We can't get enough of beautiful people coming together to celebrate two people getting married. This lovely couple a several wedding celebrations including this lovely henna party celebration at a San Diego private estate this month. Thanks to our new studio photographer for capturing these photos.
Have you ever gone to place an order for an 8x10 of one of your favorite photos to find out you will lose an arm or leg with that chosen size? How did this happen? It's all about aspect ratio. We'll do our best to explain. Aspect Ratio is simply the width to height of a photograph.
Why are there different ratios?
To really understand you need to think about the history of photography.
Since the birth of 35mm, our prints and frames for larger images can somewhat be a torn in our side. We do our best to photograph your sessions with apply background to compensate for any cropping that may take place for enlargements.
Let us know if your need assistance in ordering prints.
I had the chance to photograph this adorable little angel when she was only 8 days old! She is the sweetest little thing - I'm guessing she gets that from her sweet parents :)
I've been a little obsessed with dreamcatchers as of late. I've been inspired by some desert related fine art prints and dreamed up this little styled shoot. I'm thankful to have a model that is easy going and will to play around in a cactus garden - I managed to be the only one that walked away with a few injuries. Enjoy! And please inquire if you're looking to do a styled/collaborate portrait shoot.
GigTown is the hub of local music. Their music app allows you to discover local musicians, find nearby shows, and hire live musicians for events. GigTown, a San Diego startup cofounded by a retired Qualcomm President Steve Altman and his son Andy Altman, recently hosted an event in La Jolla and we were happy to photograph this San Diego Corporate Event.

I absolutely adore my vendors and Aall in Limo is no exception. I was happy to photograph a winery tour for them a few weekends ago where a close group of friends enjoyed a Sunday afternoon in Temecula. Our drive and leave of service he provided was top notch. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a private driver to large group day tour. Visit there site here and be sure to tell them you found them on my blog! http://www.aallinlimo.com I absolutely love when my clients are willing to trust me with an outdoor adventure. This was my first time photographing at the Sweetwater River Trails, but it certainly won't be my last! It was a perfect mix of nature and architecture! Most of the credit should go to the lovely couple, as they embraced the clouds and mist rolling off the hillside. I'm so excited for them and it's such an honor to capture photos of the beginning of their family.
Hotel Palomar, located in the downtown area of San Diego, has been hard at work remodeling their pool deck. Don't wait for summer to start, you can scoot on over and have enjoy the sun with a fresh margarita and fish tacos any day of the week!
For some of us, the idea graduating from college with a 4 year degree comes easy to us. Marisa and I paraded around the SDSU campus last week like we owned the place. It was until she messaged me after seeing the photographs, that I realized how important these photographs were to her and her family. Many of us may take for granted the countless opportunities we have to chose from an array of colleges and univeristies after high school. Marisa's family came to the states from the Philippines several years ago and it was her grandfather's dream to get a higher education. Marisa is a fellow photographer here in San Diego, so I was honored when she asked me to do graduation photos for her!
Ashley & Kim are over on the wedding blog! These two rocked out with friends and family at the Sycuan Golf Resort...
